The merry month of May has seen some changes to the staff
at Runevillage. The first promotion saw Avian Maid bumped
up to Forum Admin.
She was characteristically modest about her promotion and
posted;
"It is realy an honor, and all I can say is I hope I
continue to work to deserve the position I've been given.
"
This seemed to herald a sudden rush of promotions and changes
at the Boards after a quiet period on the staff front.
On 10th May it was announced that Mustangnut became a Board
Moderator and Euph was now a Forum Moderator.
Euph commented, "Well as many of you know I joined RuneVillage
back in August and was made Assistant Forum Mod in January.
I was shocked to have been selected, but I jumped at the chance
to help out.
I worked hard in those forums, trying to help everyone out
who needed help.
The other day I was promoted to a full Forum Moderator. This
was unexpected again! But, again, I jumped at the chance and
was promptly given yet more forums to mod.
I'd just like to take the opportunity to thank Hiker, Henner,
the Admins, the Mods and of course the Villagers for letting
me have this position and to be able to make the village a
better place for all of those involved."
As ever, Euph has been active within the Village and was heavily
involved in the great RuneVillage event a while back. He also
reached combat level 100 this month and it was a sign of his
popularity as to how many people posted their good wishes.
Mustangnut has quickly established himself as a popular moderator
and his promotion sees him with added responsibility for the
forums. He wrote:
"GCSE asked me to write something about my recent promotion
to Board Moderator from Forum Moderator. Well first, I must
say I was completely surprised by the pm that Henner sent
me, I had to read it twice to make sure I understood it. Not
that it was long, just a surprise, then I went to a post that
I had made and looked under my name to see what it said. Sure
enough there it was big as life, "Board Moderator"
I guess someone wasn't pulling a practical joke on me after
all.
Most of all I want to thank the Site and Forum Admins for
putting their trust in me for this job, and for the responsibility
that they have entrusted me with."
Mustangnut recently featured in a topic showing that he had
passed the mighty SAX in the leader board rankings. This was
a popular topic and attracted many good wishes.
That isn’t the end of the changes. Barely had these
three settled into their new jobs when Henner announced that
Karl Fisher was now a Forum Moderator and Silentones had been
made a Board Moderator.
Karl unexpectedly seemed a little vague as to how he felt
about it. He posted on the General Announcement forum;
"I have to be careful not to let the promotion distract
me from my main goal of keeping the drop parties forum clean,
and my calendar up-to-date. I’m thinking about taking
some fairly inactive or easy to mod forums."
As always, Avian Maid was on hand to write some encouraging
words and hopefully Karl will be there to meet the new challenge.
A not so new face but a welcome return was Runescape Masta
who takes up modding duties again.
The one thing we don’t have to worry about in the Village
is a lack of mods. Whenever you log on to the Boards and see
who else is there, it is very rare for no mods to be on the
prowl ! Maybe that is why Runevillage is such a great place
to be these days.
We wish all those who have been promoted every success.
