Man rescued from hole after 25 years!

A man was rescued from a pit earlier this month after 25 years, his mother and father had been searching when they got a tip their son, who was 10 at the time, had last been seen heading north of the dig site.

Upon further investigation, the mother and father came across a large hole in the ground, which was presumed to have been where the boy had gone looking in search of treasure, although the unsteady surface, hiding the cave had such a thin layer that part of the cave roof broke in, trapping the boy inside. The father of the boy had this to say

“When we found out that our little boy had fallen down that hole, we were devastated, but we knew that he was alright, despite my bad back, and pleas from my wife, I decided I would take some food and rope, and go down there looking for him.”

The father had to go through several phases of the child’s mind, including fear, despair and confusion. But through beating them all, he managed to find his child, although he had become a part of the cave, thankfully a brave adventurer noticed the mother on his way to morytania, for reasons unknown, and went around to inquire why she was standing next to the hole.
Thankfully he managed to catch up with the young man’s father, and fought off the part of the child that had become at one with the cave.
The child, father and adventurer all returned safely from the pit, to the affection of the mother who was overwhelmed that her son had returned after so long. After being asked whether we could question her, the mother began swinging her stick in our direction and chasing us with it, thankfully some guards were present who managed to calm her down and escort us away from her.
The young man was reported to have been happily living with his mother for a month, before enrolling to help those in need after his ordeal.
When asked about his ordeal when we spotted him in Varrock Square, he said. “Its great to be out of that hole, so much has changed though! The land over white wolf mountain discovered, evil cults forming, especially morytania has to be the biggest change, I remember walking down there as a boy and barely being able to see where I was going because of the huge amount of people there!”
