Analyzing The Issue: Jagex's Response to Essence Macroing

The new response to seize macroing may very well be entirely ineffective. The reason for this is because their efforts can be bypassed with ease. The two requirements to attain pure essence is simply to become a member and obtain level 30 mining. Membership can be attained in a matter of moments, which is entirely a nonfactor, because even the 5 dollar charge can be made up by selling the runes for gold and the gold for real life money as they mentioned. The 30 mining can easily be attained in less than 30 minutes, especially by unrelenting and experienced macroers. When these two actions are carried out in unison, Jagex is again powerless to stop macroers from ruining our game. Hopefully Jagex has unconditional macroing detection that can be used to eliminate what will also hopefully be a much smaller scale of macroers and put this problem to rest. Their decision to leave this supposed unconditional detection unannounced proves to be a grave and terrible mistake.

For the first time Jagex exposed just how vulnerable their game actually is. They take an opportunity to speak out against macroing, but fail to mention that players will be caught on every given occasion. This strongly suggests that Jagex is unable to detect and ban every macroer that attempts to misuse and exploit our game! If this likelihood is the case, then Jagex and honest players alike clearly possess a catastrophic problem. Needless to say, the problem is that many macroers are slipping through the nets, exploiting our efforts, and cannot be completely stopped. Clearly, Jagex manages to eliminate a great deal of macroers from the game, but one can only wonder how many more in a variety of skills are going unnoticed and eating away at our game like an uncontrollable virus. As great a problem as this undoubtably is, it pales in comparison to what Jagex has now done to the economy.

This new update brings a massive imbalance to a prospering aspect of the economy. The new pure essence sales will be much greater in price than our previous essences because free players will no longer be able to provide us with the fruit that fuel so many mages so greatly. Runecrafters will now have to buy pure essences for their law and nature runes from members only. Seeing as how there are at least 3 times as many free to players as there are members, we could easily assume that the price of the new pure essence will be (at the very least) 3 times greater than our previous price. With some luck for us pure essence consumers however, the prices will remain at a low consistent rate as new members become attracted to the new great rates of the pure essences. Such is three major problems that require Jagex's immediate attention.

The like of which no evil doer or tenacious lower power could ever compare,
Sincerely Yours,
