I wish I could trade one charm for another from a npc, not one for one, but one blue for two red, one red for two green... you get the picture. I use green to train summoning most of time, and hardly used red or blue, if I can do that, then I can train summoning the way I wanted.

Well i think its stupid if they come up with more ways to level summoning if its not done trough ways that involve combat because summoning is a combat skill

In general im just against easier to level skills but thats just the way it is

I fail to see where the fake news post included other skills being used to level up Summoning.
Gathering the charms, yes, but it IS possible for some skills to support others... You know, like woodcutting to fletching and firemaking, fishing to cooking, mining to smithing, runecrafting, and crafting, runecrafting to magic, fletching to ranging... :?:

Definitely think this would cause yet another wave of complaining, but something like it should be done. Not being able to buy the skill is good, but making it so it helps all skills, but needs combat to train it for the most part seems contradictory to me.

I would deeply enjoy this update because then I could easily get 57 summoning and have fun Runecrafting :)

Lolwut? Runescape being made even easier to play?

Naaahhhhh...

I like summoning, and I like getting the charms myself. It shouldn't be changed, getting them yourself is a major part of the skill.

If you could mine shards and craft pouches or something,
it would be vastly better than it is now.

... Isn't pouch making how you actually gain exp? Turn the ingredients into pouches to summon familiars?
Or am I really missing something here? :?:

Technically you "infuse the blank pouch to make it into a summoning pouch of whatever type you want. He's talking about crafting the most basic ingredients for summoning (blank pouches and shards) which are only buyable from a shop.

Ah. I'd never heard of blank pouches being part of the equation.

It wouldnt bother me... it would just be yet another skill that you can buy with wealth as with magic, construction, herblore, crafting, firemaking, fletching, cooking and smithing.

There would be nothing new here :P

Personally i'd hate that update. Got enough buyable skills as it is, don't need another one.

Perhaps more ways to get charms could be made? They already introduced thieving the Dorgesh-Kaan chests as one but it's too slow to really get charms at a rate close to slayer.

Summoning is in the unique position of being both a money sink, AND a collection skill.
